Terrell Owens Going To Buffalo
Former Dallas wide receiver Terrell Owens took less than 48 hours to find a new job when he signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract with Buffalo on Saturday, a source close to Owens said.

The Bills have called for a press conference on Saturday and are expected to announce Owens' deal. ...

Pau Gasol Named Western Conference Player Of The Month
The Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade and the Los Angeles Lakers’ Pau Gasol today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Month presented by Kia Motors, respectively, for games played during February.

Wade led the Eastern Conference in scoring (30.7 ppg) while shooting .502 from the field, and ranked second in assists (8.7 apg) and fourth in steals (2.0 spg), as the Heat went 6-6. Wade scored at least 20 points in every game and on Feb. 22, he tallied a career-high 50 points at Orlando. He paced the Heat in scoring 11 t ...

Owens Needs A New Home
The Dallas Cowboys officially released Terrell Owens on Thursday, ending a three-year run that produced as many big headlines as big plays.

"In the aftermath of the season, we talked about change," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said in a statement. "Some of what is changing involves the process and some of it involves people. This is a decision that was made based upon consideration for an entire team.

"We will move on now with a new team -- a new attitude -- and into a new stadium. The evaluation p ...

fourth quarter breakdown
While the Lakers had a fourth-quarter breakdown last night, I’m not sure we learn a lot breaking that down. Fifth game in seven days, second night of a back-to-back against a young and athletic team. Pau looked tired but he’s racked up enough frequent flier miles for a free trip to Spain in the last few days. Still would like to have won that one, but not a loss that should keep us up at night.

Instead, here are some thoughts and other things to check out from around the NBA Web today:

• Tex Winter doesn’t get the idea ...

A rare win indeed!!!
With two star players not even in the game, Detroit kept the Lakers in check most throughout the game. With Kobe struggling on the court, the entire had to step up and take charge. Indeed thats what happened, and such a victorious outcome but not until the final quarter of the game. Odom racked up 25 points and 15 boards, Bryant had scored only 8 pts before the start of the 4th and ended up with 19 points at the end of the rally lead by Jordan Farmar.

The Lakers scored 41 four-quarter points against one of the league's top defe ...

6 games later!!! Lakers' 93-90 win costs Rockets
The Los Angeles Lakers got off to a great start last night proving that they could win games on the road. Then minutes later, they showed that they could also be easily beaten too.

With NBA Superstar Tracy McGrady sitting out the entire second half, no Lakers players were seen on the court as well. With an 18 point lead which nearly deminished to zero as the clock was ticking down. Luckily we were able to keep a 3 point lead as the Houston Rockets missed the near buzzer beater to keep us at 93-90, a check mark in the win column, at ...

Game 1 in review
A bit of a frustrating loss because, even though they were outplayed for most of the game, that was one the Lakers could have stolen at the end. Plenty of room for improvement, but not a bad outing for the first game either.

I think there were two key areas that cost the Lakers the season opener against Houston:

1) The Laker second unit didn’t have the success it did in the preseason — all five Laker starters were positive in +/-, but every Laker off the bench was in the negative (except Coby Karl in his very short stint). ...

Where's The Point?
If Jerry Buss is really going to get rid of Kobe Bryant, can I suggest that he trades for a good point guard somewhere in the deal? Don't get me wrong, I love Derek Fisher, but if you want to know who the eight best teams in the Western Conference are, just look for the eight best point guards. Let's see: Tony Parker, Devin Harris, Baron Davis, Deron Williams, Allen Iverson, Chris Paul, Mike Bibby, Rafer Alston, and whoever performs best out of the rest. The Lakers can actually overcome this "point guard problem" with the ...

Ditch Mitch!
With the balance of Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett, the Lakers look like the team that brought us three straight championships just a short time back. Two of the absolute best players in history have us absolutely blessed. Our Laker purple and gold is worn as royalty once again.

OH WAIT! Hold on, I forgot, Mitch Kupchak is the G.M. We're paying a great 6th man to be our third best player, and sorry, Andrew Bynum is not the next Kareem! We have no money to spend on players. Kobe Bryant is asking for a G.M., so he can do his j ...
